About the Role
Are you a relationship-driven sales professional who thrives on building new business, closing deals, and seeing the direct impact of your work? McGillivray Group is looking for an Account Executive to help drive revenue growth through strategic brand relationships. This role is ideal for someone who loves the chase of new business, understands how brands think, and is energized by pitching, negotiating, and closing meaningful partnerships. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, internal teams, and prospective partners to grow our brand partnerships pipeline while ensuring a seamless transition from sale to execution.

What You’ll Do
This is a sales-driven role with real ownership over pipeline development, outreach, and deal progression.
• New Business & Revenue Growth
• Proactively identify, research, and pursue new brand partnership opportunities
• Own outbound sales efforts including prospecting, outreach, and follow-ups
• Manage and evolve pitch materials, proposals, and sales collateral
• Lead sales meetings, collaborate with marketing team on pitch presentations, and manage contract negotiations
• Drive prospects through the full sales funnel, from first contact to signed agreement
• Customize agreements and lead negotiations in partnership with leadership
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records and sales activity tracking
• Report on pipeline progress and revenue performance against targets
Account Kickoff & Partnership Transition
• Lead and support the kickoff process for newly closed brand partners
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth handoff post-sale
• Support onboarding and early-stage relationship management to set partnerships up for success
Team & Business Support
• Contribute to new initiatives and growth opportunities as the business evolves
• Share insights, wins, and opportunities in team meetings
What Success Looks Like
• Consistently building a healthy, active pipeline of qualified prospects
• Hitting or exceeding new business and revenue targets
• Running confident, compelling sales conversations
• Creating strong internal alignment between sales, strategy, and execution teams
• Building long-term brand relationships that grow over time
What We’re Looking For
• 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, and/or brand partnerships
• Proven track record of long term client relationship management (3+ years) is required
• Experience in an agency, media, or partnerships-driven environment
• Strong communicator with persuasive presentation and copywriting skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple opportunities at once
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working with CRMs and sales tracking tools
• Proficiency in G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and presentation tools (Canva experience a plus)
• Understanding of social media and branded content is an asset
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel occasionally
• Valid driver’s license
